Can I choose which departments I work in?

We will always try to match departments to your own particular areas of interest, but this is not always possible. Choices are made depending on your own interests and which departments can accommodate a trainee at a particular time.

Am I guaranteed a job at the end of the programme?

Although we cannot guarantee a job at the end of the programme, in recent years our retention rate has been high. We invest heavily in your training, so it is in our interest to offer you permanent employment, especially if you fit in well and demonstrate a good work ethic whilst you are with us.

How much training and coaching can I expect?

A lot. You will work alongside a partner in each of your four six-monthly seats, learning directly from them and supporting them with their caseloads. You will also have direct access to our training partner Angela Woods and HR manager Tammy Hughes, who will be on hand to provide you with personal and professional advice and support.

Will I get feedback on why my application has not gone forward?

We would love to be able to provide you with detailed feedback, however we are unfortunately unable to provide this to those who have not been successful at any stage in the application process. This is due to the sheer number of applications we handle.

Will I know which department I will be going into first before I start?

Yes. We will contact you in good time, before you start, to advise you of which department you will be joining first and which of the partners that you will be sitting with.

Can I meet any of the current trainees before I start?

Yes. Before you join us we will invite you out for dinner to meet with our current trainees to find out more about what it is like to work here.

Will there be opportunities to socialise with the rest of the firm?

We are an extremely sociable and friendly firm, and regularly organise social events after working hours. The firm's social committee also arrange various social events throughout the year.
