Brickfield Rangers FCYoung footballers are on target to achieve yet more success with the help of one of the region's leading law firms.

Adult and junior players with Wrexham's long-established Brickfield Rangers football club are delighted that they have secured a sponsorship deal with Walker Smith Way Solicitors, which has local offices in Wrexham and Chester.

Brickfield chairman Paul Hooson, said: "It is great news.that Walker Smith Way has sponsored us again - this kind of financial support is really important as it helps us fund for both junior and senior teams.

"Just about everyone who has been involved in football in the Wrexham region over the last 30 or so years will have had a connection with Brickfield at some stage. We are very much a community orientated club."

Brickfield Rangers FC started out in the 1970s, named after the field where they play - the Brickfield in Court Road, Wrexham.

It has grown to such an extent that there are now twenty four teams playing football at all levels, including the area's only special needs teams.  The club also hires floodlit pitches at Ysgol Morgan Llwyd and Glyndwr University sports centre Wrexham, for further practice sessions and they have their own website, http://www.brickfieldrangersfc.co.uk/.

Said Paul Hooson: "We are one of the few clubs to achieve its silver standard in the FAW club accreditation scheme which ensures the club meets all the requirements to satisfy the FAW. In 2007 the club was honoured with winning the prestigious FAW Football Trust Club of the Year, and we were also Wrexham County Borough Council Sports Club of the Year 2009."

Walker Smith Way's marketing manager, said the firm, which employs a total of 150 people, was keen to do all it can to help support the club, which has achieved its ambition of gaining accreditation with the Welsh FA.

"Brickfield Rangers is going from strength to strength and we are delighted to have been able to help them through our continued sponsorship.

"It is good for the team and also for the Wrexham community as a whole that clubs like this exist and boost our region's sporting prowess.

"Like Brickfield Rangers, Walker Smith Way has a long-standing history in this area and we are proud to be able to further our links with the community in this way."
