Alex joined Walker Smith Way as a trainee solicitor in 1997 and
is now a partner with the firm. He specialises in handling and
supervising workplace disease and accident claims including
employers liability claims.
Why did you choose to specialise in personal
injury?
Personal injury work is all about people, and I like the fact
that we always meet with our clients and follow things through
personally to a settlement or award of damages. It is very
rewarding to get a thank you at the end of the case.
What has been the highlight of your career so
far?
Becoming a partner.
What do you feel most passionate about within your
working life?
I'm involved in a number of asbestos disease cases, and it
makes me very sad that so many people will go on to develop
asbestos related problems largely because their employers did not
take the threat of asbestos dust seriously.
What do you feel most passionate about within your
home life?
Liverpool FC!
