With 25 years of experience, partner and director Angela heads
up our family law department and is also a deputy district judge.
Angela specialises in all areas of family law with particular
expertise in medium to high value financial settlements including
business assets.
Angela is one of a handful of solicitors in the area trained in
collaborative law. Sitting as a civil deputy district judge means
that Angela maintains a wide knowledge of the law in general, and
has a unique perspective on family law which she finds very useful
in her day to day work. She is also a trained mediator.
As training partner, Angela also provides ongoing support and
training to our trainees and as a human resources partner is part
of our management team.
Why did you choose to specialise in family
law?
The very personal contact with clients and the satisfaction
derived from helping them resolve their problems at a very
stressful and emotional time.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Despite my achievements so far I would like to think that the
best is yet to come.
What do you feel most passionate about within your working
life?
Obtaining a fair and just outcome for my clients and creating
a happy working environment for all our staff.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home
life?
My family aside: skiing, mountains, food, wine and
music.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd
do?
Buy a chalet in the mountains and use my skills and experience
in the voluntary sector (when not skiing and having knee
operations).
