Senior partner Brian Dawson has extensive experience in civil
litigation, gained from over 30 years of practising law. He
specialises in personal injury (including clinical negligence,
brain injuries, back injuries and disease cases), professional
negligence and probate inheritance claims. He is also the firm's
client care partner.
As a mediator, Brian has experience in mediating civil
litigation and has particular experience of professional
negligence, probate/inheritance, commercial and contractual,
personal injury, property claims and clinical negligence cases.
As well as being senior and client care partner with the firm,
Brian is also a deputy district judge and an accredited mediator
with both the Alternative Dispute Resolution Group and the Centre
for Effective Dispute Resolution.
He is also an Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL)
Fellow and APIL accredited 'Clinical negligence specialist'.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Advising one of the big three trades unions in relation
to their collective conditional fee arrangements nationally.
What do you feel most passionate about within your
working life?
Helping people resolve disputes by whatever method is best
suited to them which is user friendly and value for money.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home
life?
My wife and daughter.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd
do?
Worry about how much of it I should be giving away, when
selfishly I would prefer to keep it for me and my family.
