Why did you choose to specialise in clinical negligence?
Having gained experience in clinical negligence during my training contact I found that I enjoyed developing my knowledge and understanding in both medicine and law, I therefore welcomed the opportunity to qualify in this area. Due to the nature of clinical negligence cases I have the opportunity to work closely with clients and establish a positive relationship to help guide them through what can be a very difficult and emotional time.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?
To have progressed my career from a legal secretary to solicitor with Walker Smith Way has been very special for me and I hope that the best of my career is still yet to come with the firm.

What do you feel most passionate about within your working life?
Working in a supportive team environment and ensuring that clients receive a high level of customer service.

What do you feel most passionate about within your home life?

Spending as much time as I can with my family. When I have the time I enjoy running and I completed the London Marathon in April 2010.

If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing you would do?

I would make sure that my family were financially secure and go on a huge spending spree with the rest. I will have to keep dreaming though… I don't play!
