Partner and director Huw joined Walker Smith Way in 1979 as a
trainee and qualified as a solicitor in 1981. Highly experienced in
all aspects of commercial property work, Huw specialises in
commercial freehold and leasehold, agricultural work and business
sales/purchases linked to property. He is also involved in property
work relating to wind farms. Huw is from a farming background and
has always had a keen interest in agricultural and rural
matters.
Throughout his career Huw has acted for a number of farmers in
Cheshire and North Wales including some large estates. A fluent
welsh speaker, Huw is a member of the Agricultural Law
Association.

Why did you choose to specialise in commercial property?
I gravitated towards it after spending the early part of
my career getting a grounding in all aspects of property law. I
enjoy it as it does involve a lot of actual 'law'.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Becoming a partner here.
What do you feel most passionate about within your
working life?
Making clients feel at ease and ensuring they have
confidence in me so we can build up long standing
relationships.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home
life?
Spending time with family.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing
you would do?
Not tell anyone.
