Joseph joined Walker Smith Way as a trainee solicitor in 2010.
He works closely with Huw Davies, a partner in our commercial
property department, assisting him with his caseload.
Before joining the firm, Joseph completed a law degree at Durham
University. Joseph is also a member of the firm's social committee
and helps to organise social events.
Why did you choose to do a seat in commercial
property?
Property law has an impact on everyone. I have the unique
opportunity to work closely with clients, helping them
with their private interests and business objectives.
What is your experience of being a trainee at Walker Smith
Way?
I've had a very positive and supportive introduction to the firm.
From the outset I have been given direction and responsibility to
meet the needs of clients. It is a friendly and sociable firm which
encourages trainees to enjoy their training and to get the most out
of it.
What do you feel most passionate about within your working
life?
Building strong relationships with colleagues and clients for the
benefit of all.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home
life?
Close relationships with my family and circle of friends. I believe
in a work/life balance and enjoy rowing, playing football and
watching Manchester City FC.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing
you would do?
Recover, take stock and get some advice. I'd probably buy an R8 and
a house in the first week, and then consider who I could help.
