Kamini joined Thornleys in 2009 and transferred to Walker Smith
Way as a trainee solicitor in 2010. She works closely with Jane
Meakin, a partner in our residential property department,
assisting her with her caseload.
Kamini is also part of the firm's social committee. Before
joining Walker Smith Way, she worked in various client-facing roles
and was a judicial support assistant, which gave her valuable
insight into the legal system.
Why did you choose to do a seat in residential
property?
I wanted to expand my knowledge in residential property
and gain experience of how it operates in practice. I also
wanted to build upon my client contact in a non contentious area of
law and provide an excellent service for clients where
buying a house can be a stressful time.
What has been the highlight of your career so
far?
It's yet to come.
What do you feel most passionate about within your working
life?
Working alongside people who share the same work ethic and who
support me in my career.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home
life?
My family and friends.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing
you would do?
Get on the first plane to New York and have a mad shopping spree!
I'd also treat my friends and family and give some to charity.
