Kate joined our Wills, trusts and probate team as Assistant Solicitor in February 2012 having qualified as a solicitor in May 2009. She joined us from law firm Paul Crowley & Co where she qualified and then practised as a private client Assistant Solicitor.

Kate is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, The Law Society Private Client Section and is a student member of The Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners. She has also written articles for Rightmove magazine and Liverpool Daily Post.

Why did you choose to specialise in Wills, trusts & probate?
I enjoy the technical challenges that Wills, trusts and probate offers, while still offering the one-to-one contact with clients.

What's been the highlight of your career so far?
Qualifying in 2009 and joining Walker Smith Way.

What do you feel most passionate about within your working life?
Offering a service that is bespoke to each client and their individual needs, and being able to help clients at important and significant times in their lives.

What do you feel most passionate about within your home life?
My cocker spaniel, Penny. Oh yes, and my husband!

If you won the lottery tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd do?
Buy the house of my dreams with the biggest kitchen you have ever seen and enough land for a small holding.
