Laura joined Walker Smith Way as a trainee solicitor in 2008 and qualified as a solicitor in 2010. Laura is part of our personal injury team and supports clients with claims relating to employers liability, occupiers liability, public liability and road traffic accidents. She also has experience in clinical negligence and employment law and is developing a case load in these areas.

Prior to joining the firm she worked as a legal assistant and an employment law adviser for a business service. Laura has a particular interest in employment and personal injury work and enjoys being able to help those most in need.

Why did you choose to specialise in personal injury?
I find this area of law interesting because every case is unique and I also enjoy being able to make a real difference to people who have suffered through no fault of their own.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Qualifying as a solicitor.

What do you feel most passionate about within your working life?
Helping people in need of legal assistance. I am proud to assist union members who may not in ordinary circumstances have access to legal advice.

What do you feel most passionate about within your home life?
My family and friends. I also enjoy latin dancing in my spare time!

Spend, spend, spend!
