Partner Louise heads up our Wills, trusts and probate department
within the firm. Louise qualified in 1993 and joined Walker
Smith Way in 1996. Specialising in Wills, administrating estates,
trusts and providing elderly client advice, Louise has broad
experience of many different estates gathered over the years, and
experience in representing clients as a trustee, attorney or deputy
(at the Court of Protection). Many of the estates she administers
involve agricultural property.
Louise became a partner of the firm in 2001 and is a member of
the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Solicitors
for the Elderly and the Law Society Probate section. She is
secretary for STEP Cheshire and marks STEP exam papers for
other professionals wishing to enter
this international society.
Louise has also been appointed by MS Support Centre and Age UK Cheshire as a Trustee.
Why did you choose to specialise in Wills, trusts
& probate?
I'm interested in looking after my clients and their families,
getting to know them as individuals and serving them throughout
their lives.
What has been the highlight of your career so
far?
Becoming a partner at Walker Smith Way in 2001 and managing a
great team of like minded, hard working colleagues.
What do you feel most passionate about within your
working life?
Ensuring my clients are well cared for, and that they feel at
ease when discussing important matters with me. Helping them to
understand complex issues which affect their daily life.
What do you feel most passionate about within your
home life?
Spending time with my husband, family and those close to
me.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what's the first
thing you'd do?
Celebrate and then think seriously about improving my welsh by
taking time to immerse myself in a residential course.
