Paul qualified as a solicitor in 2002, having completed his
training contract with Thornleys in Ashton-under-Lyne and then
transferred to Walker Smith Way in 2010. Before moving into the
legal profession he was a liability claims inspector with an
insurance company for ten years, where he developed an interest in
accident and disease work. The experience he gained in this role
gives him invaluable insights into how insurance companies
work.
Paul specialises in manual handling accidents, road traffic
accidents, employment and accidents in public places.
Why did you choose to specialise in personal
injury?
I developed an interest in personal injury work early in my
career. The switch to representing unions and their members means I
can make a difference and build up a strong relationship with the
trade unions.
What has been the highlight of your career so
far?
It's yet to come.
What do you feel most passionate about within your working
life?
Being able to help and make a difference to the people I
represent.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home
life?
My family and Manchester City.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing
you would do?
Spend it.
