Philip represents clients from a variety of industries and
specialises in employment liability cases, accidents in public
places and road traffic accidents. He joined Thornleys solicitors
in 1996 and then transferred to Walker Smith Way in April 2010.
Before moving into the legal profession he was an insurance
claims investigator with a large insurance company dealing with
liability and motor claims; experience that is invaluable when
handling cases on behalf of claimants.
Phil has a Diploma in Personal Injury Litigation and is an
Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Why did you choose to specialise in personal
injury?
I enjoy the diverse and constantly evolving nature of this area of
the law.
What has been the highlight of your career so
far?
Having a first instance decision upheld in the court of
appeal.
What do you feel most passionate about within your working
life?
Getting the best possible result I can for my clients within a
realistic and effective timescale.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home
life?
Having a loving and stable relationship helped because my wife is
also my best friend.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing
you would do?
Book a rock band because I am throwing a big party.
