Stuart is responsible for managing the firm's IT. He joined Walker Smith Way in September 2010 from a large law firm where he was head of infrastructure management.

In his previous role he was responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the IT structure which supported 900 users.

Why did you choose to specialise in IT?
I've always had a fairly good knowledge of IT. As my career developed, I found I had a knack for computing and networking technologies, so I tried as much as possible to be the 'go-to person' for those.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Achieving ISO 20000; the internationally recognised standard for IT service management, and becoming the second law firm ever to attain it. Proud to have been a key contributor in winning the 'IT Team of the Year' award on three consecutive years. Becoming IT manager for Walker Smith Way.

What do you feel most passionate about within your working life?
Making sure that people find their work meaningful, and that they have a sense of purpose and value. No matter what the work is, it has a positive impact on someone else. By doing a good job, they create success for themselves and others.

What do you feel most passionate about within your home life?
My family and cooking.

If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing you would do?
Pay all my debts and open a restaurant so watch out Gordon Ramsay!
