Victoria joined Walker Smith Way as a trainee solicitor in 2010.
She works closely with Neil Turnbull, a partner and head of our
personal injury department. She studied law at Durham University
and completed her LPC at the College of Law in Chester. While
studying for her LPC, Victoria also did pro bono work with Witness
Support in Wrexham.
Victoria is also a member of the firm's social committee, and
helps to organise social events.
Why did you choose to do a seat in personal
injury?
I enjoy the regular client contact that comes with working in this
department. During each case, you get to build a relationship
with the client, and support them through what can be a
stressful and difficult time in their lives.
What is your experience of being a trainee at Walker Smith
Way?
From the outset, I have been given lots of responsibility and
client contact, which has allowed me to start putting my academic
training into practice. My colleagues are all friendly and
approachable, which is so important, and I've been encouraged to
get involved in the social aspects of the firm, which means that I
am already starting to feel like part of the team.
What do you feel most passionate about within your working
life?
Working closely with clients to find legal solutions which suit
their individual needs.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home
life?
My family and friends.
