Charity support

We support a range of charities through monthly donations and by raising money through activities and events. For example, we hold an annual charity BBQ in the summer every year, which is organised by our social committee and supports charities close to our staff members’ hearts.

Our nominated charity for 2009/2010 is Clwyd Special Riding Centre.  The centre provides a unique opportunity for children and adults with special needs to enjoy riding, carriage-driving and vaulting (gymnastics on horseback). Run by a group of volunteers, the centre welcomes over 200 people each week from North Wales, Cheshire and further afield, and is largely funded by donations. We will be arranging several fundraising events throughout the year.  Read our news story for more information.

We are also backing a campaign to support the plight of persecuted trade unionists in Colombia, South America. We have signed up to Justice for Colombia, which is urging the British Government to rethink its apparently unconditional support for the country’s president Alvaro Uribe.  Read more in our press release

We also support the United Campaign and the Bevan Foundation.
