Trust Administrator
Marie has worked at Walker Smith Way for nearly 20 years. After beginning her career as a Secretary, Marie moved into a more administrative role looking after Trusts. She now focuses on the day-to-day administration of Trusts, dealing with the finances of clients who are unable to manage their own money, and generally acting in their best interest.
Why did you choose to specialise in Trusts?
I consider myself a 'people person' and enjoy being able to help my clients on a day to day basis.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
My promotion to this position and the confidence others have shown in my capabilities to carry out this work.
What do you feel most passionate about within your working life?
I like to think that I am approachable and easy to talk to, and I try to provide a happy and friendly service to my clients. I endeavour to help whatever the situation may be.
What do you feel most passionate about within your home life?
My two sons are my main priority and they know I'll always be supportive and dependable. I have a very caring and loving family. I've also got a large circle of friends, which means I have a very busy and exciting social life.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd do?
I'd arrange a huge party to celebrate with family and friends. I'd put money aside for my sons, and would then go travelling to visit places I have only dreamt about.
